Tong Yufen  

Tong Yufen was born in 1961. As a professor and a doctor of legal science, she is a tutor of the doctorate of the Labor Economics College, the CUEB. She is a deputy chief-editor in charge of the magazine "Population And Economy".
Research direction: Population and work measurement.
Her curriculum lectures: Economics of population, population resources and environment economics, population analysis method, application and other more key curricula.
Main scientific research achievement: For many years she has devoted to the population and the sustainable development as well as the national minority population-oriented research and her regular teaching work. Once she presided 20 scientific research items. In recent years she has managed main project items, including "Chinese Northwest Area Comprehensive Construction Well-off Population and Environment Problem" as the state social-science fund project; and "Xinjiang Population Change and Environment Evolve Interaction Mechanism and the Future Tendency", as a China natural science fund project. "Xinjiang Population Change and Land Will Degenerate" was directed and entrusted by Peking University applying for the fund provided by the international Wellcong Trust. She was responsible both for humanities social-science project of the State Educational Committee with the cooperation application, which entitled "Xinjiang National minority Employment Problem", and the item, "Xinjiang Different Region Population, Economical and Society Coordinated Development Research". And the project " Research on Xinjiang Feminine Talented Personnel Resources Development " ,which was of an important scientific research item to the Xinjiang scientific and technological project. Finally, she has managed all-china women's federation project on how to develop population, economy and social public causes in harmony.
Up to now she has published 5 copies of academic works, such as "Population And Sustainable Development", "Xinjiang Population Province Border Migrates Research" and so on, and in "Population Research", "Demography Publication" "the Chinese Population, Resources and Environment" "the Chinese Desert" and so on. She has published more than 50 academic papers in all.
Her research achievements She was awarded the 2nd-class and the 3rd-class prize for several times by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region¡¯s Philosophy and Social Science with her outstanding achievements. And she also obtained the 2nd-class prize and other kinds of prize with her excellent dissertation by Peking University. In 1996 she was awarded as an outstanding graduate ,by the Xinjiang autonomous region people's government, and in 2003 obtained an honorable title as a contribution model to the Xinjiang autonomous region¡¯s women's work.
