Fu Lei was born in 1951. Professor Fu is a dean of Accountancy College with a concurrent post as a tutor of the graduates, the CUEB. He is a well-known scholar in the field of accountant-education research. In 1982b he graduated from Beijing Economics Institute. His major was of industry financial accounting.
His main research direction is about financial accounting theory and practice, and financial management practice. In the field of accountant history, financial management practice and accountant education, he had made outstanding achievements. He published over 70 academic papers in some magazines both at home and abroad, published 5 monographs and translation works, and 9 textbooks. "Finance And Accountant" the magazine evaluates As one of 40 well-known scholars, he was selected into a who’s –who-like book, namely, "the Chinese young scholars’ first- square-matrix team to the 21st- century-China-accountant and financial control and audits" compiled by Ministry of Finance’s Magazine “Finance and Account”.
Professor Fu Lei lectured "Accounting", "Accounting Principle" evaluated as Beijing high-quality textbooks. As a chief-editor, he compiled " A Series of Accountant Specialized Textbooks" awarded the first-class prize of Beijing outstanding textbook. Once in 1994, 1998, 2002, 2003, or 2004, he separately went to Hong Kong, Australia, Taiwan, and America to give lectures to the learned society in order to develop academic exchanges.
Fore long time he has been appointed as a dean of Accountancy College to be in charge of curricula construction of account-specialty, financial-management specialty and he has made better achievements. And the account-specialty is considered as the key specialty of Beijing’ curricula construction that plays an important role to develop our national account-specialty education.
